On Sunday, January 27, Central Cafe located at 54 West Main Street in Plainville will be hosting the annual King of the Wing event to benefit PARC.  The main event is a chicken wing eating contest at 3:00pm, in which participants have 10 minutes to eat as much as possible.  Cash prizes are awarded – and the bragging rights are terrific!  There is a $25 entrance fee, and participants must register in person no later than 8:00pm on Friday, January 25.

Also included is a chili cook-off competition.  Chili chefs register and pay the $15 entrance fee in person by 8:00pm on Saturday, January 26, and bring their chili along to Central Cafe at 12.30pm on the day of the event.  A panel of local celebrity judges will taste and rate, and attendees can purchase a ticket to taste each chili and vote for their favorite.  Two cash prizes will be given – one for the judges’ choice, and one for fan favorite.  This is a terrific way to get your chili into the mouths of the public!
